It is not the Sahara. But the Agafay desert is a true natural gem. No sand here, but a rocky desert, cut into white and golden dunes. The colors and optical effects are incredible.

A professional and bilingual driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at the agreed time to accompany you during your day excursion to the Agafay desert.

As soon as you arrive, you will cross a small track to arrive at the desert camp where you will take part in a camel ride to discover the desert plateaus of Agafay in an original and authentic way.

Then, you will be invited to taste a good mint tea in a nomadic tent in the heart of the desert. An opportunity to relax and admire the exceptional calm of this little corner of paradise, while enjoying a magical view of the magnificent white hills and desert plateaus.

 A short break then the adventure begins... A 2-hour quad excursion to explore the arid hills, wadis, Lake Takerkoust and the Berber villages of the region.

 If you decide to do this excursion in the late afternoon, you can witness the magnificent sunset in the desert. You can also participate in another experience among several activities offered on site, go hiking with a local guide or return to Marrakech.
